I have been using the Dentanomic range since I opened my surgery last year. I am truly impressed with the practicality and ergonomics of the product. This little tool is an absolute game changer, that makes extractions easier than one can imagine. If you've never tried it, I can wholeheartedly recommend giving it a go: you won't be disappointed.

Since switching to using our Dentanomic kit, I have actually grown to like dentals for the first time. I find the elevators actually get into the periodontal space nicely and it feels like I’m tearing the ligaments and the luxating blades are like cutting through butter which I don’t get with my practice’s other dental equipment. I really like how you can quickly and easily change the heads because it means you have much less stuff cluttering your work space and you can keep all the different sizes on one tray. The heads are relatively inexpensive to replace if needed although they seem to last which is brilliant. Finally, the choice of hand pieces has meant I’ve not noticed as much strain in my hand as I used to get, particularly when working on long dentals. Overall I’d definitely recommend practices investing in the Dentanomic kit.

When I went into practice as a new grad vet two years ago, dentals quickly became a procedure that I dreaded seeing on my ops list. Extracting teeth seemed to take me forever, our instruments felt big and clunky in my hands, and I worried a lot about fracturing roots. I have always been raised to believe that 'a bad workman always blames his tools', so I assumed my problems with dentals were down to my lack of experience. Of course, this is part of it, but when we got a set of Dentanomic instruments I could not believe the difference it made. Having sharp blades, instruments that were comfy to hold, and using luxation blades (I had only ever used elevators alone before) really did revolutionise dentals for me. Suddenly extractions were faster and so much easier than before. Having great instruments has helped my confidence with dentals a lot, I no longer dread them! I would highly recommend Dentanomic instruments to anyone considering them.

Having sharp dental instruments is essential for effective tooth removal. In my experience it is unfortunately very uncommon for vets in practice to perform regular instrument sharpening to maintain their instruments. These instruments are sharp from initial use, with a very good blade design that helps maintain their edge. Then, once the blade is beyond its useful life, the blade can simply be replaced without having to replace the whole instrument. A good range of sizes and really comfortable to use.
